Gln Posted January 9, 2013 Share Posted January 9, 2013 For quite a while now I've been toying with the idea of starting a game and voice server hosting company. I had my eye on a company doing this on Flippa, but fell asleep too early a few nights back and missed winning the site by $50. So frustrating. After waking up and hearing the bad news I couldn't sleep so started my own research. I've found most everything I need to do this and to start will be offering voice servers. After I get the kinks worked out with that I'll add in game servers. Development just began tonight, here is a link in case anyone is curious. Keep in mind I've only been at it a few hours and will probably be a few weeks until it's complete. What was the final price on the website if I may ask? Would you essentially buy the entire company including the website since they do it? Guest Posted January 9, 2013 Share Posted January 9, 2013 This one was an older company that wasn't kept up so was at 3k. Mostly you were just buying the aged domain name and completed code. It can be very exhausting and can have a little return. If you do it right though you can make it. Just remember as I have always been told a good company doesn't make profit until after the first two years. I know you guys can do it and hope the best for you. Let me know if you need any help with me as I do websites as well and am almost done with my degree in information system security. 5 classes left and I can't wait. I know for most people that this will seem more like a scam site then a legit site. You need to create a live chat along with a phone number. I know you may not want phone calls in the middle of the night but there are services out there that will be your phone service. I know you may not want this now but I am just giving you a heads up as I am almost done with my Information Security Systems degree and this would be a red flag site according to what I go to school for. Just FYI, it is just a suggestion. Hope it helps and the site looks awesome! Tickets are great and all but sometimes people will look at things such as contact information which is all I was pointing out.
